Job summary

Thai Summit America in Howell, MI, is seeking a Plant 2 Team Leader for 1st shift to supervise production associates and implement work schedules. You will identify variances, report to management, and support the development of associates with strong leadership and training focus.

Responsibilities include directing team activities, promoting continuous improvement, ensuring safety, maintaining reports, and collaborating with facilitators to keep daily operations on plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year Press experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office Suite and ERP system.
• Ability to train others on job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assigning, directing and training of Associates with no responsibility for initiating action on hiring, firing, workforce alignments, disciplining, evaluating, lay-offs, promotions or rate increases
• Promote continuous improvement programs and strive to maintain and improve productivity
• Remain accessible to Associates the majority of the time and respond to Associates concerns, complaints, problems, suggestions, etc. and provide information, answers and assistance in a reasonable time period
• Verify material usage, downtime and quality of products produced
• Analyze causes for variations in processes and assist in the development of countermeasures
• Create, prepare and maintain reports and related document files
• Follow company policies and procedures and report violations as they occur
• Assist Facilitator in creating work instructions
• In the absence of your Facilitator, you will be expected to work closely with the other Facilitators to make the day run according to plan
• Ensure continuous efforts to promote company safety standards throughout the plant floor
• Complete Layered Process Audits for all Chrysler jobs
