Job summary

Thai Summit America in Howell, MI is seeking a 3rd Shift Facilitator to lead and train production Associates, monitor schedules and report variances to management. You will support associate development through hands-on coaching and participate in project launches with customers and engineers.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to company policies, and maintaining a professional, productive plant floor while promoting continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year assembly experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) and ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Assigning, directing and training of Associates with no responsibility for initiating action on hiring, firing, workforce alignments, disciplining, evaluating, lay-offs, promotions or rate increases
• Promote continuous improvement programs and strive to maintain and improve productivity
• Remain accessible to Associates the majority of the time and respond to Associates concerns, complaints, problems, suggestions, etc. and provide information, answers and assistance in a reasonable time period
• Verify material usage, downtime and quality of products produced
• Analyze causes for variations in processes and assist in the development of countermeasures
• Create, prepare and maintain reports and related document files
• Follow company policies and procedures and report violations as they occur
• Develop work instructions for new launches
• In the absence of your Facilitator, you will be expected to work closely with the other Facilitators to make the day run according to plan
• Ensure continuous efforts to promote company safety standards throughout the plant floor
• Create and maintain a professional environment on a daily basis. Make sure your mannerisms and actions are professional at all times
