Sodecia Automotive Detroit Corp in Center Line, MI is seeking an Entry level Press Technician to set up, operate, and maintain stamping presses to ensure quality parts for customers.

The role requires 3+ years in stamping or manufacturing, ability to operate forklifts and cranes, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. 1st/2nd/3rd shifts with overtime possible in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Press Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining stamping press equipment to ensure production of quality parts that meet customer requirements. This role supports production efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate transfer and progressive stamping presses
• Install and adjust dies and tooling as required
• Monitor press performance and report equipment or die issues
• Record and report production output and scrap during each shift
• Inspect incoming materials to verify correct specifications
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure product quality
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Support production activities and perform additional duties as assigned

• Minimum 3 years of experience in stamping or manufacturing environment

Work Schedule

• Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
• Overtime and weekend work as required

Work Environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
