Job summary

The Frederick News-Post is seeking a Press Room Operator to efficiently run and maintain our printing presses for high-quality publications. You will manage daily production, monitor print quality, and ensure the correct ink and paper are loaded for each job.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with editorial and production teams to address quality concerns while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing preferred.
• Previous press operator experience or related field desired.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work nights and weekends on a flexible schedule; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate printing presses for daily production.
