Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking a Press Operator for the Stamping Department in Wisconsin. The role focuses on operating stamping presses to produce mounting cups, maintaining production flow, and ensuring product quality and workplace safety.

Will perform visual and dimensional inspections, use FIFO inventory, apply accurate labels, and record production data. Cross-training and forklift operation may be required, with a strong emphasis on safety and procedure adherence.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school training or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience operating stamping presses or similar equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Proficient with measuring devices, hand tools, and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor stamping presses to meet quality specs.
  • Maintain production flow and machine performance for required speeds.
  • Perform visual inspections and dimensional checks on parts.
  • Use FIFO to handle raw materials.
  • Apply correct barcode labels to finished containers and lots.
  • Complete production documentation and quality records.
  • Store finished products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Follow SOPs, safety guidelines and work instructions.
  • Monitor up to two presses simultaneously while maintaining quality.
  • Assist with housekeeping and keeping a clean work area.
  • Rake scrap material into designated outdoor bins as needed.
  • Participate in cross-training, including forklift operation when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Press Operator (Stamping Department)
Position Summary

The Press Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring stamping presses to produce high-quality mounting cups in accordance with company standards and production requirements. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures, and the ability to maintain production efficiency while ensuring product quality and workplace safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor one or more stamping presses to produce mounting cups that meet quality specifications.
  • Maintain production flow and machine performance to achieve required operational speeds.
  • Perform continuous visual inspections and dimensional checks on parts during production.
  • Select and use raw materials utilizing the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory method.
  • Ensure correct barcode labels are applied to all finished containers and production lots.
  • Accurately complete required production documentation and quality records.
  • Store finished products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and work instructions.
  • Monitor and operate up to two presses simultaneously while maintaining quality and production standards.
  • Assist with housekeeping and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
  • Remove and rake scrap material into designated outdoor bins as needed.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities, including forklift operation when required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating stamping presses or similar production equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required by the job.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment including exposure to noise, metal scrap, and production machinery.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and measurement techniques.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to be trained.
  • Experience in metal stamping, manufacturing, or production environments.
