Job summary

A manufacturing company in the United States is seeking individuals to operate various production punch presses and ensure quality documentation is met. The role requires setting up presses, troubleshooting minor tooling issues, and packaging parts as per customer specifications. Candidates should have at least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment and be mechanically inclined, preferably with vehicle experience. Dress code includes steel toe shoes and appropriate work attire.

Qualifications

  • Must have mechanical inclination and experience working on vehicles or similar.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor tooling issues.

Responsibilities

  • Run various production punch presses to produce finished components.
  • Inspect and monitor produced components for quality.
  • Setup and operation of all presses, from single hit tooling to progressive dies.
  • Use checking fixtures to monitor part quality while running.
  • Package parts per customer requirements.

Job description

  • You will be running various production punch presses or other processing equipment to produce finished components per provided work instructions.
  • Inspect and monitor produced components to the required quality documentation.
  • You will be responsible for the set up and operation of all presses, from single hit tooling to progressive dies.
  • Use fabricated checking fixtures: responsible for checking random parts while running the given part.
  • You must have the ability to troubleshoot minor tooling issues or problems.
  • You must be able to package parts per customer requirements
  • You may be required to supervise subordinate lever operators.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve products or reduce costs.
Experience

At least 6 months in manufacturing or similar environment

Skills
  • Mechanical aptitude, use of measuring devises (micrometers, Vernier's) dedicated and attention to detail, time management
  • MUST be mechanically inclined (experience working on vehicles or something within that nature)
Dress Code

Steel toe/composite toe shoes, jeans, shirt with no holes or offensive graphics
