Fleetwood Metal Industries, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, is seeking a Press Operator in Sylacauga, AL. You will operate tonnage presses, perform die changes, and ensure part quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of machine operations or related experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Able to work flexible shift times.

Responsibilities

• Operate tonnage presses and related equipment (decoilers, feeders, conveyors, cranes, PLC controlled).
• Perform Quick Die Change (Q.D.C.) with minimal supervision.
• Use measuring and inspection devices to ensure part quality and complete paperwork.
• Troubleshoot quality issues and report damages.
• Apply lean-manufacturing principles to improve process capability and reduce costs.
• Maintain and improve housekeeping in the work area.
• Meet production targets as assigned.
