Job summary

Fleetwood Metal Industries, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, is seeking a Press Operator in Sylacauga, AL. You will operate tonnage presses and related equipment to produce quality parts while completing applicable paperwork.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of press/drive-line experience, can work independently or in a team, and are able to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs. The role supports lean initiatives and targets on-time production.

Qualifications

• 2 years of machine operations/work related experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Able to work flexible shift times.

Responsibilities

• Operation and knowledge of tonnage presses, decoilers, feeders, conveyors, cranes, and PLC controlled equipment
• Perform Quick Die Change as per Q.D.C. procedure with minimum supervision
• Use various measuring and inspection devices to ensure accuracy and part quality, complete all relevant paperwork
• Troubleshoot for poor quality product and report all damages
• Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs, and increase capacity
• Maintain and improve housekeeping within work area
• Meet production targets as set forth by the company
