Job summary

Ideal Tridon Group in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Press Operator for the 2nd shift to operate a press, cut, shape and design metal parts, and perform preventative maintenance. You will load metal coils, troubleshoot minor machine issues, and ensure safety procedures are followed. Shift is 3:00pm to 11:30pm with overtime as needed.

Hourly wage is $20.00 plus a $1.00 shift differential for the 2nd shift. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to pass a drug screen and

Job Summary

Perform various tasks involved in operating a press to cut, shape and design all sorts and gauges of metal. Duties may also include loading and unloading metal coils, troubleshooting machines for malfunctions or irregularities, fixing machines to run and operate properly along with perform other preventative maintenance on the press. Must follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries including requests for help from co-workers. Proper handling of finished parts and products to avoid injuries or damage, follow all operational instructions when operating or using tools and equipment. Provide quality checks as determined. Job may require overtime and a flexible schedule, reporting early and working late, including weekends.

We are seeking a Press Operator for 2nd Shift to join our team at Wesanco for our Tennessee location!

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift: 2nd - 3:00pm - 11:30pm *OT as needed*

Hourly Wage: $20.00 + $1.00 Shift Differential for 2nd Shift

Job Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
• Load machines with metal strut.
• Perform die changes/sets
• Setup press machine
• Locate the products.
• Ensure that machines do not run out of materials.
• Monitor product quality.
• Housekeeping while at the machine
• Production reporting
• May perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Education And Experience Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained, and certified on the hi-lo.
• (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements
