Job summary

Altium Packaging in Sparta, Tennessee is seeking a Press Operator, Imprinting for a 12-hour shift (6p-6a). You will operate imprinting machines, adjust controls, and ensure prints meet quality standards while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities include inspecting products, sealing packaging, labeling as needed, and keeping a clean, safe work area. A 1–2 year manufacturing background and a high school diploma are preferred; basic math and computer skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must have basic safety awareness and be able to follow PPE requirements.
• Proficiency with basic computer and math tasks is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate imprinting machines and tooling.
• Ensure PPE is worn and maintained at all times.
• Adjust machine controls to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist with packaging duties.

The Press Operator, Imprinting

Location Address: 600 Vista Drive, Sparta, Tennessee 38583 Work Shift: 12hr-C Shift (6p-6a) Sparta (United States of America)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely handle and operate any assigned imprinting machines and tooling
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
• Operate machine controls, programs and associated equipment to ensure parts and prints produced are done at maximum efficiency and to the highest quality standards.
• Make machinery/equipment adjustments as needed (dislodging jams, controlling speed, product size, etc.)
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance
• Assist co-operators as needed with various tasks
• Operate tape guns to seal boxes ready for shipment
• Secure labels on to boxes
• Maintain clean/safe work area
• Sort rejected product to determine quality errors
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
