Job summary

Altium Packaging in Sparta, TN is seeking a Press Operator, Imprinting to run liner and assembly machines creating printed materials for prescription packaging. The role involves completing periodic paperwork and machine/product checks.

Shifts are 12-hour, with overtime as required. The position requires basic math, computer skills, and a safety-conscious mindset to maintain quality and efficiency on the production line.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strict safety awareness and PPE use.
• Basic computer and math skills beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate imprinting machines and tooling.
• Ensure PPE use at all times and maintain safety standards.
• Operate machine controls and adjust for quality.
• Make adjustments to speed and product size as needed.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance.
• Assist co-workers with various tasks on the line.
• Seal boxes with tape and apply labels for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and sort rejects.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.

The Press Operator, Imprinting is responsible for running liner and assembly machines that produce quality printed materials for prescription packaging. Operators are responsible for completing periodic paperwork and machine/product checks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely handle and operate any assigned imprinting machines and tooling
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
• Operate machine controls, programs and associated equipment to ensure parts and prints produced are done at maximum efficiency and to the highest quality standards.
• Make machinery/equipment adjustments as needed (dislodging jams, controlling speed, product size, etc.)
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance
• Assist co-operators as needed with various tasks
• Operate tape guns to seal boxes ready for shipment
• Secure labels on to boxes
• Maintain clean/safe work area
• Sort rejected product to determine quality errors
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
