Job summary

Altium Packaging in Sparta, Tennessee, is seeking a Press Operator, Imprinting to run flexographic printing equipment for prescription packaging. The role involves paperwork and machine/product checks, ensuring safety protocols and high-quality output.

You will work with imprinting machinery, inspect prints, and assist teammates in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The position may require overtime and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience: 1–2 years in manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Safety awareness and basic computer skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate imprinting machines and tooling.
• Ensure proper use of PPE (hard hat, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes).
• Operate controls and equipment to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Make machine adjustments as needed to prevent jams and control speed/size.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance.
• Assist co-operators with various tasks.
• Seal boxes with tape and attach labels.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Sort rejected product to identify quality errors.
• Overtime may be required.

Location & Shift

Location Address: 600 Vista Drive, Sparta, Tennessee 38583 Work Shift: 12hr-C Shift (United States of America)

The Press Operator, Imprinting is responsible for running flexographic machines that produce quality printed materials for prescription packaging. Operators are responsible for completing periodic paperwork and machine/product checks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely handle and operate any assigned imprinting machines and tooling
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
• Operate machine controls, programs and associated equipment to ensure parts and prints produced are done at maximum efficiency and to the highest quality standards.
• Make machinery/equipment adjustments as needed (dislodging jams, controlling speed, product size, etc.)
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance
• Assist co-operators as needed with various tasks
• Operate tape guns to seal boxes ready for shipment
• Secure labels on to boxes
• Maintain clean/safe work area
• Sort rejected product to determine quality errors
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
