Job summary

RRD is seeking a Press Operator 2 for the 2nd Shift in Osage, IA, to set up, operate and maintain multiple press units.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm, with occasional overtime including weekends. You will perform make-ready tasks, adjust color, inspect plates, clean and lubricate, and perform routine maintenance.

The role requires knowledge of offset printing, ability to read specs, and skills in calibrating presses to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, and safety requirements to perform assignments.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and determine appropriate press usage and materials.
• Skill to make precise settings of controls and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
• Knowledge of packing pressure to obtain proper printing pressure for job type.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment.
• Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders and align images.
• Make color corrections or press adjustments to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press and replace worn parts as required.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
