Job summary

Advantage Label & Packaging in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Level I Press Operator to assist higher level operators and support the production of quality printed products.

You will help with setup, changeovers, ink mixing, and die handling while keeping presses running and the workspace clean. This role emphasizes dependability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Must be able to pass a test for color vision deficiency.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist Level II–IV Press Operators with the production of a quality product.
• Increase efficiency during set-up and change-over.
• Handle the delivery and return of dies, print cylinders & inks.
• Mount plates for flexographic presses, staging two or more jobs in advance.
• Mix inks needed for upcoming jobs.
• Complete press double-checks as needed.
• Keep presses running during breaks.
• Move to where the work is if necessary and as directed by the Production Supervisor.
• Keep production area clean, neat, and organized.
• Work with pre-production individuals as a team, and with respect.
• Effectively and efficiently manage time.

Job Summary:
