Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a Press Operator, Flexographic to run flexographic machines producing printed materials for prescription packaging. You will complete routine paperwork and machine checks while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires basic manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read instructions, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a 12hr shift environment. Training provided and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing setting handling flexographic machinery preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic instruction and documentation.
• Attention to quality and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate flexographic machines and tooling.
• Use PPE as required (hard hat, eyewear, gloves, etc.).
• Adjust machine controls and speeds for efficiency and quality.
• Inspect finished products for quality.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Assist co-workers as needed.
• Operate tape guns to seal boxes and apply labels.
• Sort rejected product to identify quality issues.
• Overtime may be required.

The Press Operator, Flexographic is responsible for running flexographic machines that produce quality printed materials for prescription packaging. Operators are responsible for completing periodic paperwork and machine/product checks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely handle and operate any assigned flexographic machines and tooling
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
• Operate machine controls, programs and associated equipment to ensure parts and prints produced are done at maximum efficiency and to the highest quality standards.
• Make machinery/equipment adjustments as needed (dislodging jams, controlling speed, product size, etc.)
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance
• Assist co-operators as needed with various tasks
• Operate tape guns to seal boxes ready for shipment
• Secure labels on to boxes
• Maintain clean/safe work area
• Sort rejected product to determine quality errors

• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
