Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a Press Operator, Flexographic to run flexographic machines producing printed materials for prescription packaging. The role includes record-keeping, machine checks, and maintaining safety standards on a 12hr-B shift in Sparta, TN.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic math and computer skills. Strong safety awareness and ability to work with PPE are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate flexographic machines and tooling.
• Use PPE properly at all times (cap, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes).
• Operate machine controls to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Make machinery adjustments to control speed and print size.
• Inspect finished products for quality and document results.
• Assist co-workers as needed with various tasks.
• Seal boxes and apply labels for shipment.

Work Shift: 12hr-B Shift (United States of America) The Press Operator, Flexographic is responsible for running flexographic machines that produce quality printed materials for prescription packaging. Operators are responsible for completing periodic paperwork and machine/product checks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely handle and operate any assigned flexographic machines and tooling
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
• Operate machine controls, programs and associated equipment to ensure parts and prints produced are done at maximum efficiency and to the highest quality standards.
• Make machinery/equipment adjustments as needed (dislodging jams, controlling speed, product size, etc.)
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance
• Assist co-operators as needed with various tasks
• Operate tape guns to seal boxes ready for shipment
• Secure labels on to boxes
• Maintain clean/safe work area
• Sort rejected product to determine quality errors
