Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Material Handler at our Sylacauga, Alabama stamping facility. The role involves moving materials throughout the plant, handling shipments, and supporting fast-paced production operations.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, order fulfillment, and maintaining accurate records. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to find information, document relevant information, and knowledge of computers.
• Ability to retain information and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering materials and supplies.
• Count weight or measures of items and compare with bills of lading and invoices.
• Ensure products meet standards and communicate deficiencies to shipper.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies as needed.
• Secure cargo safely and distribute weight for transport.
• Drive company vehicle when necessary.
• Fill orders and document transactions, prepare requisitions, and track storeroom inventory.
