Job summary

Taylor Corporation, a leading graphics and printing solutions provider, is seeking a Press Operator for its Tampa, FL facility. The role requires handling presses, setting up runs, and ensuring quality output on a 3rd shift schedule (Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM).

You must have mechanical/technical aptitude and strong math skills to read measurements and optimize stock layouts. Ideal candidates communicate professionally, maintain high attention to detail, and can operate

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed instructions from job orders accurately and precisely. Identify possible errors or problems and take prompt action to correct them.
• Set up and adjust the press for job runs to meet specifications.
• Monitor product quality during job runs and correct issues as needed.
• Monitor equipment during job runs, alert to mechanical issues, and refer problems to maintenance.
• Start and run jobs in alignment with the production schedule.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
• Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage.

Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Press Operator to join our team in Tampa, FL.

Work Authorization : To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Shift : 3rd Shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Your Responsibilities:

• Carry out detailed instructions from job orders accurately and precisely. Identify possible errors or problems and take prompt action to correct them.
• Set up and adjust the press for job runs to meet specifications.
• Monitor product quality during job runs and check work against specifications. Take action to correct any quality issues.
• Monitor equipment during job runs, remain alert to mechanical issues, and refer problems to maintenance as needed.
• Start and run jobs in alignment with the production schedule.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
• Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage.

You Must Have:

• Mechanical and technical skills or aptitude
• Strong math skills, including the ability to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
• Ability to operate equipment and build proficiency as measured through production and quality standards
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions for work orders
• Ability to communicate professionally
• Strong attention to detail

Requirements Within This Position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds, including lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying
