Job summary

Taylor Corporation in North Mankato, MN is seeking a Production Assembly and Support team member to join our growing facility. You will perform hand operations, pack and inspect products, and help move materials to support production schedules.

You must read and follow work orders, communicate with coworkers, perform basic math, and adhere to safety rules. Shift is Wed-Fri 5pm–5am with every other Saturday; competitive hourly range applies.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand operations such as applying labels, cutting, wrapping, and using foot controls.
• Pack products, inspect quality, and ensure proper shipping.
• Stack, pack, and move printed materials on pallets as needed.
• Follow job instructions to produce orders according to spec.
• Maintain attendance and work constructively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Float across departments and assist where needed.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE as required.
• Duties may be seated or standing.

Your Opportunity:

Precision Press, a division of Taylor Corporation, is looking for a Production Assembly and Support team member in our North Mankato-MN facility.

Work Authorization:

To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform various hand operations such as applying labels to products, cut, wrap products, use tape dispensers and the use of feet for flexion/repetitive motion as in operating foot controls
• Pack products in boxes and tape lids of boxes shut appropriately for proper shipping while inspecting product for any quality defects
• Stack, pack, and transport printed materials in various stages of completion on pallets as it accumulates on delivery tables of specific equipment
• Responsible for reading and following specific job instructions to produce an order according to spec
• Maintain attendance according to facility guidelines as well as be able to work constructively with co-workers, supervisors, vendors while performing daily responsibilities.
• Ability and willingness to float across departments and assist where needed
• Follow safety rules, procedures and standards
• Duties may occasionally be performed while seated but will likely be performed while standing

General Examples: Crater/Packer II, Light Assembler II, Folder Operator Assistant, Floor Assembler II, General Laborer, Sr., Electronics Assembler I, Precision Assembler I, May operate base equipment when needed

Your Shift:

Wednesday - Friday with every other Saturday, 5pm to 5am

You Must Have:

• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher general written instructions from documents such as work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, or other job specific written documents
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employees
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Requirements Within This Position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Ability to work in an environment with regular exposure to printing inks, solvents, and chemicals; required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17 - 19.

The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
