Job summary

MCC in the United States (Virginia) is seeking a Press Operator to run premium label presses on the 3rd shift, ensuring high-quality output and efficient production. You will monitor print conditions, perform quality checks, and keep accurate records in the GlobeTek system.

Responsibilities include make-readies, operating the press to meet customer specifications, and adhering to safety rules. MCC offers a strong benefits package, a $2,500 sign-on bonus, and a $1.00/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience as a printing press operator.
• Physical ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Familiar with safety rules and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate printing presses and adjust cylinders, inks, and substrates.
• Perform make-readies per Job Ticket and Product Specifications.
• Conduct on-press quality checks for color, registration, and adhesion.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and document material usage in GlobeTek.
• Report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain press efficiency and minimize waste.

ThePress Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

Responsibilities:

• OurPrintingPress Operators must adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Reports all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
• Completes make-readyin accordance withthe Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, andaniloxrollers are used.
• Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks. Completes all press-side quality checks.
• Operates the press to produce the product in accordance with customer specifications, maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and optimizing press efficiency.
• Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks include: copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
• Responsible for completing all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
• Completes press make-readies efficiently.
• Completes all required equipment maintenance duties.
• Cleans plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricates press as needed.
• Inputs all required information into the GlobeTek system for material usage and time accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience as a printing press operator and/or training.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, and talking and hearing.
• This position requires frequent walking.
• Occasionally, an employee must climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
