  • Perform periodic visual quality inspections while operating the press.
  • Box completed materials and monitor production to hit hour-by-hour targets.

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Press Operator 1st shift to join our team at Carol Stream.The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour .Core hours for this role are 5am - 3:30pm.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.What you’ll do:The Press Operator operates assigned presses and related equipment to produce parts that meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity requirements.In this role you will:• Review and follow standard work instructions• Utilize onsite software (PLEX) for inventory transactions• Utilize calibrated equipment/tools such as calipers, micrometers or gauges as needed.• Must perform periodic visual quality inspections while operating the press machine• Load, start, stop, set up and operate stamping presses• Monitor production run and identify any quality concerns and escalating as needed• Boxing of completed materials• Achieve hour by hour targets• Comply and support daily 5S• Follow EHS policies such as lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE requirements.• Learn cross functional skills• Additional duties as assignedQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:• Legally authorized to work in the United States• 1 year manufacturing experiencePreferred Qualifications:• 2 year of manufacturing experience is preferred• High School diploma or GED Equivalent.Skills:Position Criteria:• While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand• The employee is moderately required to walk.• The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 35lbs, greater lifting will require machine or partner assist.• Frequent bending, reaching are required• Noise level in plant is moderate.
