Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Machine Operator II (1st Shift) – Paint Line in Reno, NV. The position offers a $22.73 per hour rate and supports first shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will operate presses, read blueprints, perform quality checks, and enter production data into SAP while maintaining safety and clean work areas. Eligibility requires proximity to the site and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must reside within 50 miles of the work location.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Able to operate machinery and presses safely.
• Able to read, interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses.
• Troubleshoot various machinery problems.
• Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.
• QC and document all parts run on machines.
• Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system.
• Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient production.

CORE HOURS: 5:45AM - 2:15PM

What You’ll Do

In this function you will:

• Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses
• Troubleshoot various machinery problems

• Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production
• Keep work areas clean and safe

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• More than 6 months of experience with forming or bending machines
• More than 6 months of experience reading drawings or blueprints
• Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Position Criteria:

• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English
• Able to operate machinery and presses safely
• Able to read, accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings
• Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material
• Able to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers
• Able to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision

Additional Information

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift
• Able to lift and bend on a continuous basis
• Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure

Working Conditions

• Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open
• Fast paced working, while maintaining safety priorities
