RHI Magnesita is seeking a Press Operator for a fully on-site role in York, PA. The position involves operating heavy tonnage hydraulic presses and robotic systems to support refractory brick manufacturing.

The successful candidate will set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include maintaining production flow, entering data into the SPC system, inspecting bricks for defects, and collaborating with QA to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Strong mechanical abilities and analytical aptitude
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklifts
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on machinery
• Accurate data entry and recordkeeping are essential

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture within the department and enforce safety practices
• Set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot presses and robotic equipment; perform die/mold changes
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on presses and robots
• Operate forklifts in tight spaces and manage production flow
• Follow production orders, specifications, and quality guidelines; input data into the SPC system
• Inspect bricks and report defects to QC/Supervisor; record measurements and data
• Record car/rack numbers, times, scrap, and weights accurately
• Report safety concerns immediately via the safety tracking system
• Perform other duties as assigned
