A leading printing company is seeking a Press Operator to join their unionized pressroom team. This full-time role involves operating and maintaining various sheet-fed offset presses while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Position Summary:
Join our unionized pressroom team as a Press Operator. In this hands-on role, you’ll operate and maintain Mitsubishi 40-inch, Hamada 21-inch, and Ryobi sheet-fed offset presses, ensuring every job meets Fey’s standards of quality and precision. Our team works collaboratively in a supportive, safety-focused environment where contributions are recognized and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain Mitsubishi 40″, Hamada 21″, and Ryobi sheet-fed offset presses
Inspect printed materials for color accuracy, registration, and quality; make adjustments as needed
Troubleshoot and resolve press issues to minimize downtime
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment
Accurately follow work orders, job tickets, and schedules
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; adhere to all safety policies
Log production and maintenance data as required
Follow all union and company standard operating procedures
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in printing a plus
Prior experience operating sheet-fed offset presses strongly preferred
Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and strong attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret job instructions and schedules
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Schedule:
Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
37.5 hours per week
Overtime as needed according to production schedule and union agreement
