Job summary

Volkert Precision Technologies is seeking a Press Operator for an entry to mid level role in Queens Village, NY. You will operate presses with various dies, feed material, inspect parts, and lubricate machines.

On‑the‑job training is provided in a long‑term manufacturing setting serving electronics, medical, aerospace, and automotive markets. Minimum 2 years of experience and a high school diploma or technical education are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred for tooling and setup.

Responsibilities

• Operate press machines with progressive, compound, or single station dies.
• Place material on feed for production.
• Visually inspect stamped parts for distortions.
• Lubricate material and machines as needed.

Job description

We are looking to hire a Press Operator for an individual with or without experience. We turn coils of thin to medium gauge metals into precise intricate stamped components for the electronics, military, medical, aerospace, automotive industries. If you are interested in how things are made, this job might be right for you. You will be exposed to a variety of different manufacturing and assembly processes and will receive on the job training.

The individual will:

• operate press machines equipped with progressive, compound, or single station dies
• place material on feed for production
• visually check stamped parts for distortions
• lubricate material and machine as needed

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

Qualifications:
