Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is hiring a Press Operator in Elk Grove Village. Day and night shifts follow a 12-hour continental schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next) with a $28.98/hour base plus $2.00/hour shift differential. You will assist setup, run presses, ensure print quality, and maintain equipment.

You will perform inspections, routine maintenance, and sanitation while adhering to GMPs and company procedures. Prior press experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills are required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
• Previous press operator experience is preferred.
• Able to perform moderate to heavy physical work, including lifting up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators to maintain workflow and print quality on press runs.
• Set up jobs with assistance and monitor print quality during runs.
• Operate cylinder-type printing presses per procedures.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and keep work areas clean.
• Follow GMPs, PRPs, and SOPs; document quality checks and sanitation.
• Communicate job status during shift changes and escalate issues.
