Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Press Assistant to support the Press Department in setup, operation, and quality control for lamination and finishing. You will help prep plates, sleeves, and manage press components while maintaining safety and cleanliness across press, prepress, and ink waste areas.

You will gain hands-on training under the Press Operator, ensuring accurate paperwork, proper instrument use, and timely production of quality rolls. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations in the Press Department.
• Assist with plate prepping and cylinder sleeving.
• Housekeeping in press, prepress, and ink waste areas.
• Measure and record anilox volumes after cleaning.
• Drain and clean ink pots and press components.
• Acquire and stock necessary operating supplies and materials.
• Assist the Press Operator with set ups, paperwork, and operation of equipment.
• Will train under Press Operator and ensure safe, quality production.
• Identify quality defects and apply work order specs.
• Assist with take down and setup of jobs.
