Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, install, repair, and rebuild production machinery and tooling. The role supports the tool room and maintenance areas and collaborates with teams to meet production needs.

Responsibilities include using documented procedures, performing preventative maintenance, and contributing to process improvements. Requires reading drawings, basic hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge, and a willingness to work up to 12 hours/day including

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Minimum of 2 years of Machine Repair experience.
• Pneumatics and Hydraulics experience.
• Basic understanding of press controls and processes.
• Familiar with machine tools (milling machines, drill presses, lathes).

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools.
• Document downtime codes in Plex system.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using a multimeter (Level I certification).
• Understand press operation and functionality.
• Read mechanical prints for troubleshooting.
• Perform preventive maintenance and contribute to maintenance scheduling updates.
