Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Press Machine Operator to support the production team by operating mold presses and other machinery for standard and custom enclosures. You will set up equipment, read blueprints, manage inventory at the workstation, and perform quality checks to ensure products meet standards.

The role requires safe operation, adherence to productivity targets, and the ability to document data and report issues.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Manufacturing Machine Operator preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting measurement devices.
• Basic literacy skills for following instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to generate new ideas.
• High level of attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Familiarity with using basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machines and perform mold press operations to support the production team.
• Set up and operate machines according to procedures and guidelines.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams and other technical documents to assemble equipment and products accurately.
• Record production quantities, including acceptable items and scrap.
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers and drills effectively.
• Manage and maintain inventory at the workstation.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
• Identify and report product defects to the supervisor.
• Operate equipment safely to meet production targets and customer demands.
• Adhere to safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Accurately document data and maintain records as required.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure quality production.
• Report safety concerns and incidents promptly.
• Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity for assembly tasks.
• Participate in special projects as needed.
• Handle hazardous materials safely with MSDS understanding.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic quality issues.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Stand for prolonged periods.
