Job summary

Silgan Closures in Hazleton, PA is hiring a Press Line Mechanic for our production facility. This full-time role emphasizes steady schedules, on-the-job training, and safety-focused operations on multiple production lines.

You will operate punch presses, scroll machines, and assembly equipment, perform routine mechanical work and adjustments, and help maintain quality and equipment performance. A high school diploma and ability to handle 50 lb lifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial machinery.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch presses, scroll machines, and assembly equipment across multiple production lines to produce caps that meet all quality specifications established by the Quality Control Department.
• Perform routine mechanical work and adjustments to ensure machines run safely, efficiently, and within required tolerances.
• Conduct general maintenance on assigned equipment, focusing on both functional performance and safety compliance.
• Monitor production output, identify issues, and take corrective action to maintain consistent product quality.
• Support a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
