Silgan Containers in Hoopeston, IL is seeking a Press Line Mechanic for an on-site, full-time role. You will service, operate, maintain, overhaul and monitor sheet feeders, presses, conveyors, and related equipment to sustain production of high-quality ends.

Strong reading of blueprints and manuals helps ensure safe, efficient operation. The role offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus, $26.45 per hour plus a 5 percent shift differential for second and third shifts, and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalency.
• Industrial production experience preferred.
• Familiarity with measurement equipment and procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and equipment manuals.

Responsabilités

• Service, operate, maintain, overhaul and monitor sheet feeder, presses, conveyors and related equipment.
• Maintain production of standard quality ends per quality standards.
• Perform scheduled inspection procedures and enter data into a Windows-based system.
• React to out-of-standard conditions and overhaul assigned equipment as needed.
