Silgan Closures in Hazleton, PA is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Machinist to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment on a rotating 12-hour shift. The role includes transitioning from day to night shifts with available overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, plus a 2-year technical degree or journeyman certification. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and precision machining is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 2-year technical degree in Mechanical Technology preferred.
• State-certified Machinist or Millwright Journeyman certification preferred.
• Electrical troubleshooting knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild and install manufacturing equipment.
• Perform precision machining, tool repair and equipment maintenance.
• Read blueprints, schematics and specifications.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses and grinders.
• Repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems and perform basic electrical repairs.
• Complete maintenance documentation and data entry.
