Silgan Closures in Hazleton, PA is hiring a Press Line Mechanic for our Hazleton facility. The role involves operating punch presses and assembly equipment on multiple lines, performing routine mechanical work, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

We offer weekly pay, a opportunities for skill progression up to $31.42/hour with training, shift differential, and comprehensive benefits after 90 days. This is a full-time, team-based manufacturing position with on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial machinery.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch presses, scroll machines, and assembly equipment across multiple production lines to produce caps that meet all quality specifications established by the Quality Control Department.
• Perform routine mechanical work and adjustments to ensure machines run safely, efficiently, and within required tolerances.
• Conduct general maintenance on assigned equipment, focusing on both functional performance and safety compliance.
• Monitor production output, identify issues, and take corrective action to maintain consistent product quality.
• Support a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
