Job summary

Crystal Finishing Systems in Senatobia, MS is seeking a production leadership professional for a full-time, 3rd shift role. The position focuses on overseeing extrusion press operations, ensuring billet temperatures and quality, and driving continuous improvements on the shop floor.

The role requires 3–5 years in leadership and press operation, reading calipers/micrometers and blueprints, with ISO familiarity as a plus.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of leadership experience preferred.
• Three to five years of press operating experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and digital gauge tables.
• Must be able to read blueprints and parts drawings.
• Familiarity with ISO certification and processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review production schedules to determine billets, parts per billet, and temperatures for extrusions.
• Direct press crew to align efforts on each order run.
• Inspect material for non-conformance such as die lines, tears, and scratches.
• Provide training for new team members and address policy questions.
• Recommend policy/process improvements to the Production Supervisor.
• Engage in continuous process improvement initiatives and participate in customer tours as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Review production schedules to determine the number of billets required, parts per billet, and necessary temperatures for solid and hollow extrusions.
• Ensure proper billet temperature settings and direct the press crew to align efforts on every order run.
• Continuously inspect material for non-conformance issues such as die lines, tears, broken holes, and scratches.
• Address employee inquiries regarding policy and provide thorough training for new team members.
• Recommend improvements to the Production Supervisor related to policy, process, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Actively engage in continuous process improvement initiatives and participate in company tours for customers as requested.

QualificationsWHO YOU ARE

• Combination of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in leadership and participation or completion of leadership program preferred.
• Previous press operating experience preferred. Normally acquired through three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
• Must be able to read and use measuring equipment such as: calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and digital gage tables.
• Must have experience reading blueprints and parts drawings.
• Familiarity with ISO certification and processes preferred.
