Job summary

Digital Room in Brooklyn, OH is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the 3rd shift (Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm–6:00am) to lead a 20–30 person production team in a fast-paced printing plant.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a commitment to safety, and the ability to use MIS and standard office tools to track performance and drive continuous improvement.

Experience in managing schedules, conducting 1:1s and reviews, and achieving goals through data-driven decisions will be valued.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in a leadership/supervisory/production scheduling position, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated ability to confidently supervise others fairly and consistently. Able to manage 20-30 employees.
• Knowledgeable in safety procedures, OSHA regulations, etc.
• Experience using Management Information Systems and other production management software.
• Proficient in office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Enthusiasm for problem-solving and continuous process improvement.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule presses utilizing Offset Press Manager system and Canon gang scheduler.
• Create and present constructive actions.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with employees.
• Performance reviews - continually observe and track work performance throughout the year.
• 30-60-90 day new hire evaluations.
• Hold daily huddle meetings with management and team leads.
• Cross-training - offer opportunities to learn new machine and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

• At least 5 years' experience in a leadership/supervisory/production scheduling position, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated ability to confidently supervise others fairly and consistently. Able to manage 20-30 employees
• Knowledgeable in safety procedures, OSHA regulations, etc.
• Experience using Management Information Systems and other production management software.
• Proficient in office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Enthusiasm for problem-solving and continuous process improvement.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to see, hear, and speak within normal limits in order to effectively communicate with others in production areas.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be willing/able to stand for the entire 8-hour shift.
• Create and present constructive Actions.
• Conduct regular 1:1 Meetings with employees.
• Performance Reviews - continually observe and track work performance throughout the entire year.
• 30-60-90 Day New Hire Evaluations.
• Schedule Presses utilizing Offset Press Manager system and Canon gang scheduler.
• Set short and long term goals using provided reports, providing continuous feedback.
• Cross-training - offer opportunities to learn new machine and processes
• Hold daily huddle meetings with management and team leads.
• Great motivational skills.
