Job summary

Hydro Extrusions is a world-leading aluminium extrusion business with a long-standing history. We are seeking a press operator to manage the extrusion line, monitor furnaces, and ensure quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires lifting up to 100 lbs, shift flexibility, and prior manufacturing experience. We offer comprehensive benefits, including medical, retirement plans, and education assistance, with a 12-hour night shift in Gainesville, FL.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate the ability to safely lift to 100 lbs on a repetitive basis with a partner.
• The ability to work any shift is required.
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience desirable.
• Knowledge of extrusion process and quality measures preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with AS400 system a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate the extrusion press to ensure productive and efficient operation.
• Ensure the quality and quantity of material produced on the extrusion press.
• Monitor and control the Log Furnace and the Log Shear.
• Monitor and operate the Extrusion Press and the Extrusion Puller System.
• Control the extrusion cooling process and handling system.
• Set up and monitor the extrusion press system on the computer.
• Perform quality checks on extruded material.
• Maintain housekeeping around the press operation area.

Starting Rate of pay: $25.25

Shifts Available and Hours:

12-hour continental night shift - 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Shift Premium

Shift Differential= $1.00/HRto start (less than 1 year); $1.25 for 1 to 3 years and $1.50 for 3+ years of service

What you will be doing

• Responsible for the productive and efficient operation of the extrusion press.
• Responsible for Quality and Quantity of material being produced on the extrusion press.
• Responsible for monitoring and controlling the Log Furnace.
• Responsible for monitoring and operating the Log Shear.
• Responsible for monitoring and operating the Extrusion Press.
• Responsible for monitoring and operating the Extrusion Puller System.
• Responsible for the control of the Extrusion Cooling Process.
• Responsible for monitoring and operating the Extrusion Handling System.
• Responsible for the computer set-up and monitoring of the extrusion press system.
• Responsible for quality checks of the extruded material.
• Responsible for housekeeping around the press operation area.
