Job summary

Precision Staffing is seeking an experienced Press Brake/Machine Operator for a metal manufacturing facility in Erlanger, KY. The ideal candidate will have hands-on press brake experience, machine setup preferred, and be comfortable working with sheet metal, blueprints, measurements, and basic mathematical calculations.

The Press Brake Operator will review part drawings, set up and operate brake press equipment, enter bend dimensions and bend deductions, and make adjustments to ensure parts meet

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of machine or press brake operating experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong basic math skills; fractions to decimals.
• Comfort with measuring tools (tape measure, caliper, protractor).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines.
• Read blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Enter bend dimensions and bend deductions into machine controls.
• Learn and adjust brake press programs as needed.
• Perform basic math and measurements with tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.

Location: Erlanger, KY Industry: Metal Manufacturing Pay: $19.00–$23/hour, depending on experience PLUS Shift Diff! Schedule: Monday–Friday Shifts: 1st Shift: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM-11 PM 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM–7:00 AM OT Available during busy periods

Position Overview

Precision Staffing is seeking an experienced Press Brake/Machine Operator for a metal manufacturing facility in Erlanger, KY. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on press brake experience, machine setup PREFERED but not necessarily required , and be comfortable working with sheet metal, blueprints, measurements, and basic mathematical calculations. The Press Brake Operator will review part drawings, set up and operate brake press equipment, enter bend dimensions and bend deductions, and make adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines and other metalworking equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Enter bend dimensions and bend deductions into machine controls.
• Learn and operate brake press controllers and adjust programs as needed.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations, including converting fractions to decimals.
• Use tape measures, protractors, and calipers to accurately measure parts.
• Visualize three‑dimensional parts before and during the bending process.
• Make minor machine repairs and adjustments and report major issues to the supervisor.
• Lift, move, push, and pull metal parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Assist other departments and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of machine or press brake operating experience.
• Press brake setup experience prefered.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Hands‑on manufacturing experience, preferably in metal or wood production.
• Knowledge of machines, tools, and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Ability to convert measurements from fractions to decimals.
• Comfortable using a tape measure, protractor, and caliper.
• Basic computer skills and ability to program machine controls.
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach as needed.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely work around moving machinery and manufacturing equipment.

• $19–$23/hour based on experience
• Monday–Friday schedule 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift available
