Job summary

Gulf Island LLC in Houma, LA is seeking a Night Shift Press Brake Operator to run the press brake and fabricate bent and formed components for generator enclosures in our fabrication shop. The role requires at least 1 year of press brake experience, the ability to read a tape measure, and dependable work habits.

You will follow safety rules and may be required to pass a drug screen and background check. This on-site position in Louisiana offers a night-shift schedule and opportunities for growth

About this position

Description:

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating the press brake within our fabrication shop. This role provides bent and formed material for the pre-fabrication of generator enclosures within the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing
• Turing, twisting, bending and balancing
• Pushing, pulling and reaching
• Must be able to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds

Job Requirements

• 1+ years experience operating a press brake
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

Desirable Experience, Education and Training

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience operating a press brake for the production of generator enclosures or other various enclosures

Tools, Equipment and Technology

• Press brake, tape measure, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) etc.

Environmental Conditions

80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet and dry conditions, dust, mud etc. They will also be exposed to paint thinner and paint fumes.
