Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with press brake, plate-forming, or bending machines.
• Experience with heavy steel plate in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read blueprints; understand tolerances and forming requirements.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake and plate-forming equipment.
• Review work orders and blueprints before starting.
• Select tooling, dies, punches, and set machine parameters.
• Adjust bend depth, pressure, angle, and back-gauge.
• Position and secure steel plate for accurate forming.
• Operate CNC or programmable controls and adjust programs.
• Measure parts with precision tools to verify dimensions.
• Inspect for defects and adjust as needed.
• Assist with loading, unloading, moving materials.
• Follow safety, quality, and PPE requirements.
