Klöckner & Co SE in Lancaster, SC is seeking a Press Brake Operator for 1st shift to set up, operate and program a press brake.

The role includes equipment prep, quality inspections, training teammates, and solving production issues while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Candidates should have high school diploma and basic math, reading/comprehension, and basic computer skills; 1st shift hours 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and comprehension of written instructions.
• Basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Knowledge of using measuring devices.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Attention to detail with precision and quality.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Preparation: Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments as needed
• Training: Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices.
• Machine Operation: Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data. Communicate decisions made and refer questions to the supervisor as necessary
• Operational Maintenance: Follow policies and procedures to maintain production operations, including managing equipment, raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. Report needed changes
• Preventative Maintenance: Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs
• Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Team Collaboration: Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting re-assignments as directed by supervisors
• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and team objectives
