Job summary

Branch 58 is seeking a press brake operator to produce parts for assembly operations. You will load/unload sheet metal, set presses and fixtures, load dies, and inspect parts with precision tools to ensure conformance to drawings.

Candidates should have 2-5 years of press brake experience, be able to read drawings, and thrive in a lean manufacturing environment. A background check and pre-employment physical and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience on a press brake or similar machine in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Amada is a plus.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment.
• Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Attention to detail.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment physical and drug screen.

• Produce parts for assembly operations
• Safely perform loading and unloading of sheet metal. Change tools and select required
  machine programs.
• Set presses and fixtures
• Load coils of sheet metal onto the presses
• Load stamping dies onto the presses
• Inspect products for quality assurance
• Use precision measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers, to ensure products are made to specification
• Work safely utilizing proper protective equipment and following all safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow all inventory control procedures.
• Learn other appropriate job functions and serve as backup when necessary.
• Assist with machine preventive maintenance using proper lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Meet or exceed productivity per company standards.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
