Job summary

Randstad USA in Port Washington, NY is seeking an experienced Amada Press Brake Operator to join our production team. You will set up and operate Amada press brakes to bend galvanized steel to precise specs; programming is not required.

The role emphasizes hands-on tooling, setup, and quality checks against blueprints. A High School diploma and 2 years of experience are expected, with strong attention to safety and reliability in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in press brake operation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Amada press brakes preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setups, including selecting, installing, and aligning proper tooling (punches and dies) for galvanized steel jobs.
• Operate Amada press brakes efficiently while monitoring part quality and dimensions against blueprints.
• Inspect incoming sheet metal and finished formed parts using standard measuring tools (calipers, protractors, height gauges).
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep work area clean and organized.
• Work safely while adhering to all shop safety protocols.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Amada Press Brake Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Amada press brakes to bend galvanized steel to precise specifications. Note: This position focuses on setup and operation only; programming is not required.

salary: $60,000 - $62,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 3:30 PM - 12 AM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setups, including selecting, installing, and aligning proper tooling (punches and dies) for galvanized steel jobs.
• Operate Amada press brakes efficiently while monitoring part quality and dimensions against blueprints.
• Inspect incoming sheet metal and finished formed parts using standard measuring tools (calipers, protractors, height gauges).
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep work area clean and organized.
• Work safely while adhering to all shop safety protocols.

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
