Job summary

Punch pressoperator configures and operates electric powered presses to cut, shape, andform metal, or other materials used in the manufacturing operations. Performsoperations such as blanking, bending, punching, forming based on eitherblueprints, schematics or other engineering drawings. Will be required tohandle raw material and feed material through the press or die.

Requirements

RequiredSkills/Abilities:

• Solidunderstanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures.
• Excellentknowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations.
• Abilityto read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Abilityto work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Goodphysical stamina and the ability to lift heavy pieces of equipment, as well asstand for hours at a time.

Education/ExperienceRequired:

• Ahigh school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Atleast 4 years’ experience working on an punch press or similar line

PhysicalRequirements:

• Longperiods of time standing, stooping, sitting, etc.
• Mustbe able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
