## Press Brake OperatorPosted: 10/08/2026Employment Type:FullTimeJob Title:Job Number: 67837Pay Rate: $18.00/hr## Job DescriptionJob Title 1st shift Press Brake OperatorJob Shift 7am-3:30pmJob Type Performance to Hire**Ideal candidate:** Someone with previous press brake setup/operator experience, strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints, good measuring skills, and experience working in a sheet-metal/fabrication environment.JOB DUTIES:* Set up and operate press brake machines to form and bend sheet metal according to production specifications.* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production instructions.* Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and machine setups for different jobs.* Measure and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet required dimensions and quality standards.* Operate press brake equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining production requirements.* Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling as needed to achieve accurate bends and dimensions.* Work with different types and gauges of sheet metal, including stainless steel and other fabricated materials.* Use precision measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and other inspection equipment.* Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify quality.* Identify and correct dimensional or production issues and communicate concerns to supervisors.* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.* Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.* Work closely with fabrication and production teams to meet daily production goals.* Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.Requirements* Must be able to work at fast pace, follow instructions and be self-motivated* Requires excellent math skills including fractions, and geometry* Requires ability to read measuring equipment, calipers and other tools* Work independently with minimal supervision* Must work well with others* Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely* Ability to stand for minimum of 8 hours* Ensure and verify parts match to customer drawings* Provide immediate feedback when problems occurEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Cad or drafting experience a plusMust have Press Brake Experience (1-2 years minimum experience) (Amada experience preferred)Steel toe boots are required.Experience with Amada HDS, HG Press Brakes or Cincinnati Press Brakes a plusAssociate can report any hazards and concerns to the Illinois Department of Labor by call the Department s Day and Temporary Labor Services Act toll-free hotline at 1-877-314-7052 or email at [e-mail] Staffing and QFS does not provide any transportation resources or meals for our associates during any assignments.
