Job summary

Health Care Logistics is seeking an experienced press brake operator to fabricate structural steel components and run bend/forming operations. You will input data into a CNC controller, adjust tooling, check tolerances, and ensure parts meet specifications.

The role requires reading blueprints, using precision instruments, and performing routine maintenance while maintaining accurate paperwork and meeting delivery requirements.

Qualifications

Responsible for operating press brake on machine. Fits and fabricates structural steel, completes layout, and inspects finished product.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Machine experience required
• Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea

• Specific technical or vocational training or certification may be required; may be required to pass ruler test
• Regularly lift 30-50 pounds

Summary

• Operate press brake machine.
• Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
• Use a CNC controller to input information into machine.
• Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints.
• Checks height, depth and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments.
• Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
• Work with tight tolerances.
• Produce parts for assembly operations.
• Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
• Program the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications.
• Perform spot inspections of parts.
• Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
