Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Lithia Springs, GA seeks an unwind/rewind press operator to safely and effectively run the unwind and rewind end of the press and assist in meeting goals across Safety, Quality, Cost, Production, Environmental and Housekeeping. Typical duties include inspecting the printing deck, preparing rolls, loading cylinders, cleaning plates, and logging press data in the Kiwi system.

High school diploma or GED required; basic computer skills and willingness to work overtime are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic arithmetic and reading of safety/maintenance instructions.
• Ability to use basic computer systems and logging data.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed production goals as part of a team.
• Inspect printing deck and report changes to lead operator.
• Prepare rolls and ensure correct paper, size, and weight.
• Clean plates before placement in rack unless stripped.
• Set up cylinders and aniloxes for upcoming jobs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety on the production floor.
• Enter data into Kiwi system accurately and timely.
