Job summary

Oliver Inc. is seeking a dependable feeder operator for 2nd shift to join our press department. You will assist with setting up feeders, loading sheets, and monitoring print runs to keep quality high and downtime low.

The role requires 1–3 years in printing or manufacturing, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow instructions precisely. You’ll work with a Pressman, handle materials, and help with basic maintenance in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of printing or manufacturing background (preferred).
• Fundamentals in press operation and paper handling.
• Mechanical aptitude with production equipment.
• Clear, reliable execution of written and verbal instructions.
• Comfort with fractions, measurements, and basic calculations.
• Meticulous attention to detail and equipment monitoring.
• Team-focused approach in a fast-moving environment.
• Stamina to stand, walk, lift, and handle materials for the full shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials in line with the daily job list.
• Check paper via load tags and specifications before staging.
• Load sheets and dial feeder settings, from pressures to double-sheet detection.
• Monitor sheet flow and press performance, react to maintain uptime.
• Back up the Pressman on changeovers and material movement.
• Manage ink and water levels throughout the run.
• Clean blankets and key components; keep supplies organized.
• Retrieve, label, and archive plates after each job.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, clean press area.

• Preparing materials in line with the daily job list.

• Loading sheets and dialing in feeder settings, from pressures to double-sheet detection.
• Watching sheet flow and overall press performance, reacting fast to maintain uptime.
• Backing up the Pressman on changeovers and material movement.
• Managing ink and water levels throughout the run.
• Cleaning blankets and key components; keeping supplies organized.
• Retrieving, labeling, and archiving plates after each job.
• Carrying out basic preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly press area.
