Job summary

Mittera Creative + Tech in Pineville, NC is seeking Press Assistants across all shifts. This entry-level role supports the Press Department by stacking and packing printed products, assisting with make-ready, and keeping work areas clean and organized.

You will learn web-fed offset press operations, in-line finishing tasks, and how to maintain supplies. The position offers pathways to skilled press roles and opportunities to grow within our manufacturing team; prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing/office experience preferred.
• Able to read work instructions and business memos.
• Strong communication skills across all levels.
• Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Organized with ability to plan and follow through with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Uniformly jog and hand-palletize printed products off the press equipment.
• Stage stacker equipment to meet current job requirements.
• Pack boxes according to load tickets and put boxes in appropriate location for shipping.
• Check printed product for quality defects.
• Assist press team members during make-ready with wiping down blankets, changing ink, performing clean-up on/around the press, mounting plates/blankets, etc.
• Keep press areas clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
