Job summary

Mittera Group is seeking Press Assistants on all shifts to join our growing team. This entry level role supports the Press Department by stacking, bundling, and assisting with operating a web-fed offset press and in-line finishing tasks.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, 1–3 years of manufacturing/office experience, strong reading comprehension, good communication, basic math, and the ability to work under deadlines. Opportunities to advance exist within the press team.

Qualifications

• Reading work instructions and memos.
• Effective communications skills with all levels within the organization.
• Basic math skills for practical problems.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Be organized and able to plan, prioritize and follow through with minimal supervision.
• Must work effectively in stressful situations and meet stringent deadlines.
• Has basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Jog and hand-palletize printed products off the press equipment.
• Stage stacker equipment to meet current job requirements.
• Pack boxes according to load tickets for shipping.
• Check printed product for quality defects.
• Assist press team during make-ready tasks and clean-up.
• Keep press areas clean and stocked with supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
