Job summary

RRD is seeking a production support operator to load materials, adjust feeders, and assist with make-ready tasks on press equipment. You will handle plates, operate basic equipment, and help keep the production line running smoothly across shifts.

• Basic knowledge of presswork procedures and materials learned on the job.
• Ability to follow instructions to assist in press setup, operation and maintenance.
• Able to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers and hydraulic feed mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure paper or raw materials are loaded to supply a constant flow while equipment runs.
• Make adjustments to feeder mechanism based on paper size.
• Deliver equipment components to the equipment for installation.
• Recycle old/discarded plates.
• Provide basic assistance to make-ready the equipment for operation.
• Assist with retrieving plates and stacking/recycling plates.

Responsibilities

• Ensure paper or raw materials (inks, glues, etc.) are loaded into feeders, hoppers, bins, etc. to supply a constant flow of materials while the equipment is running
• Make adjustments to equipment such as feeder mechanism based on the size of the paper
• Deliver equipment components such as plates or spray heads to the equipment for installation
• Recycle old/discarded plates
• Provide basic assistance as needed to make-ready the equipment for operation
• Assist with retrieving plates, hanging plates and recycling/storing plates and other tasks associated with make-ready of the plates

Compensation and Benefits

All information related to compensation includes a rate of pay for the role at the noted location of $18.20 per hour. In addition to base pay, the total compensation package may include overtime, shift differential of $2 more for 2nd shift and $3 more for 3rd shift, call-in, and stand-by pay.
